Health Kits for Ragpickers

Ragpickers are the ones who keep our country running by picking up our waste on a daily basis, yet they are very rarely recognized. Their work though is dangerous, and due to the harmful chemicals they are exposed to on a daily basis the mean lifespan of a ragpicker in India is just 35 years.

We have dedicated over 2.7 lakhs to providing 200 health kits for 200 ragpickers in our city. This has been in collaboration with Recykal Foundation, in which we have hosted two distribution events as well. Updates about these events are coming soon!!!

Along with this we are working towards providing another 289 health kits to GHMC ragpickers, these 289 combined service over 230,000 residents in the Chandanagar area.
